Click!

Ever have the feeling that you live in a comic strip? Since it's getting near'bouts time to think about coming home for Christmas (or even Thanksgiving!), that means dearest Ellie needs a passport. And since she's an American citizen, that means the three of us traveling down to London to visit the American embassy. We have our appointment (slots are fully booked several months in advance). We have our forms filled out (can you remember every time you stepped foot off of American soil?). We have our paperwork all gathered (birth certificate, marriage license, divorce decrees [thankfully none of those]). Whew — I guess we're ready!

Oops!! Don't forget the photo! And since a passport photo sticks with you for a while (do you think Ellie will still look like this on her fifth birthday?), this is one to be careful with. So we took pictures, and more pictures, and more pictures, until we had a good number to choose from that weren't blurry, shadowed, sneezy, or otherwise besmirched.

Here's what we chose. What do you think?
